Introduction
Sa bawat pagsubok ng panahon laging tatandaan ang buhay ay weather, weather lang! This is a famous and well-known line of words by Kuya Kim, after telling that there is a coming typhoon, approaching typhoon.. After telling the whether condition! The challenge of whether condition affects to the environment where we live that is why whether telecast informing us to prepare ourselves.
Today's Gospel also tells us to prepare and informing us to establish strong foundation, strong faith in Jesus, Christ so that what ever trials we face what ever typhoon we face we can able to survive because were informed, Jesus Christ our Lord informing each of us today to prepare and establish strong foundation through faith in Christ.
Jesus Christ tell a parable about the wise and the fool who build their houses one in the sand with weak foundation and another one is in the rock with strong and fix foundation.
The two examples given were tested only when the typhoon came. These houses were tested how strong they are! The parable is referring upon us! Addressing in our personality, it is all about faith in Jesus Christ. We are an architect of our own faith if where, how and when we should establish it or else in what way we should build it. I know that all of us here have faith! You have faith I have also mine, we have our faith! But the question is how strong this kind of faith is? Our faith is only measured when trials come we are mold from this trials, learn from this trials. And with this, God and you yourself will know how strong we are, because of the big problem we solve and we had a capacity to overcome it.
Gold is one example! Gold is only measures how pure it is when it was melted in the high pressure of heat! It is melted and form to become jewelry again it was done through struggling a long process just to create high quality gold jewelry. In the life of Job he was tested also by time, tested by the circumstances! All things he had his family his wealth are taken by God because God who give is the same God who take. Job while he was hurt the more he put himself in the presence of God, he believes that in this time of trials the more he need God's presence. We should dream like this kind of faith pure as gold and humble heart as Job and believe that in Jesus Christ, believe that in God all trials, circumstances if we have faith in him we are able to survive.
Dream pure faith! Dream strong faith! And believe in God so that whatever trials or typhoon of problems may come to us, we will be able to survive in Jesus name... In God's love.
In our context today, some of us Aglipayan when there is other denomination come and inviting us to join them! We simply don't look at our church! We can't even defend our faith! We do not live out our faith being Aglipayan, being Filipino's why? Because we are shy to say I am Aglipayan! If other people ask our religion why are you Aglipayan! Because I am simply baptize in Aglipayan church, my father, my mother is Aglipayan so therefore I have to become an Aglipayan. This is the reality because we don't even go to the Aglipayan Church but we observed they go to the big churches because there are lots of people there. Why? They are shy to go in our church because our church building is not as big as other denomination, our churches is not good looking as other churches. don't you see brothers and sisters in the Lord even though our churches are very small compare to others but this church was build-up because of our own efforts, our own tears and our own sweat and even our own blood. Why it happens? Brothers and sisters in the Lord I believe that one personality is mold and formed, begins with in every families! Aglipayan community lives according to our faith and belief. Aglipayans should act and live in principles, live in being nationalism and living in moral way according to the will of God. An aglipayan family teaches their children and forms their children to be a better aglipayano to stand firm in his/her faith being Aglipayan. Teach our children how to dream in developing their church and developing their faith and developing their personality! While they are going older, to dream what kind of people they are when they grow and get old! Teach our children and teach also our selves to believe in this church that this church is revealed by God for us Filipino that will lead and guide Filipino people to live out life in accordance to the will of God. Believe in Jesus Christ for he is our Strength that whosoever believes in him should benefit everlasting life. With in Jesus Name whatever trials and circumstances we encounter we believe that we are able to survive. Until day will come that you will become proud of what you are being Aglipayano because you have help to build a church for you being a Filipino. Second example, in our every family! In every relationship now a day when encountering problems or trials it is easy for us to give up… I also observed many of our parents today when they quarrel they simply get drunk! Or else separate and leads to annulment of marriage because of problems we give up our love ones, our family and engage to vices. Such as drinking liquor, drugs, which also lead us to crime? Their reason of doing these is that they forget their problems with that way. They simply act hopeless…of coarse no one of us here would like to suffer and sometimes it leads them to think simply to end their lives. Especially in the new generation.
Alam nyo po yong buhay ni Marimar sa pantaserye ng GMA kahit ano po yong dinanas ni Marimar naghirap sya! Humarap sa maraming problema subalit si marimar nanatiling naging tapat sa pag ibig ni Sergio at nang yumaman sya di man lang nagbago at dahil si Sergio ganon din kay Marimar sa katapatan at pag ibig sa katapusan mayroon silang happy ending! They live happily ever after…because she believe that there is a God and God set a challenge in life of Marimar, challenge for us to test how strong we are it is not far from our experiences in our every day life. How many Marimar left now in our times? How many strong personality and faith we have left now? Brothers and sisters in the Lord manatili po tayong tapat sa pag ibig at katapatan sa D'yos we should dream a life in Jesus care believe in him that in Jesus no such strong typhoon, no such strong trials can weep you up in Jesus we can able to survive. So that at the end, we can live a life happily ever after.
Brother and sisters in the Lord, as we depart from this place let us always remember dream, believe, and survive.
